Had so much fun today playing with the Distress glaze with the people who came in and took the class with me. If you were not able to be here today, next time you are in, ask to see the samples. So pretty!
We had quite a few deliveries this week, though I am expecting several boxes in soon with new releases of product from several companies. We are excited that Gina K has now made it possible for her stamps, dies, products to be sold in retail stores, and we will be packing our first order with her company by Monday.
So many of you have asked for Manly cards, check out my class this Saturday! Can’t make it, let me know if you would like a full kit. A couple of the cards will be made into kits to be placed onto our Kit wall as well.
As we continue to learn about smaller companies and what they offer we are pleased to be able to bring them into our store. We are getting to know the designers, the owners, the creative spirit behind each of these companies.
The craft industry had changed a lot. One of the HUGE factors right now that is closing so many companies and businesses is the “stealing” of designs by companies in other countries, and then they are selling the same designs (i.e. penny black, lawn fawn, spellbinders, and so many many more). When they put those items online, they sell them very cheaply. I would like to share this with you for several reasons, WE do not now, and never will purchase products from the “copy” companies, the quality of those products is crazy bad, Please do not purchase items from those companies, and as part of that, please do not bring them into the store to ask me to help you “make them cut” or to figure out why you are not getting a good impression from the stamp you bought. Yes, they may be cheaper, because they are made from inferior materials, AND they didn’t have to create the designs, they stole them.
Lets support the men and women in this industry who truly share, I think, their hearts and creative spirits with all of us. Let me know if you have any questions,
Walt is heading out to Georgia this week, for work, think good thoughts for him as he travels Sunday through Saturday.
