Directions: It's easier than it
looks! It's just different depending on which direction you come from.
We are just a little east of the San Diego State University area, almost in the city of La Mesa. From
freeways 5, 805, 163, or 15, go East on Interstate 8. From freeways 125 or 67, go West on
Interstate 8. From 94, use whichever is easiest, either 15 north to 8 east or 125 north to 8 west. NOTE:
If you're coming north on 15 from South San Diego County, DO NOT take the El Cajon Blvd exit; that
would add about 20 minutes to your drive. El Cajon Blvd is a long street that has several exits on more than
one freeway.
From
eastbound Interstate 8, exit at the 70th St/Lake Murray Blvd exit (just after College Ave).
At the traffic signal at the end of the exit ramp, turn right (but don't be in the rightmost lane), then a
left turn at the next traffic signal onto 70th Street.
From
westbound Interstate 8, Exit at the 70th St/Lake Murray Blvd exit (just after Fletcher
Parkway). At the end of the exit ramp, make a left turn, then another left turn at the signal to go South
on 70th Street.
Once
you are going south on 70th Street, go up the hill, turn left onto El Cajon Blvd (the first traffic
signal after you get to the top, and continue about 1 1/2 blocks to 7151 El Cajon Blvd; we are on the
right, in a strip mall with a quilt fabric store and a restaurant named Nerys. You can turn right into the
parking lot from El Cajon Blvd, or go past the strip mall and turn right on 72nd St and immediately turn
right again into the parking lot of the strip mall. Our store is suite K, between Rosie's Calico Cupboard
and The Quilted Rose.
Or,
if you are westbound on Interstate 8, exit at the El Cajon Blvd exit, just after the Jackson
Drive exit. On the exit ramp, stay to the left and you will be going west on El Cajon Blvd. You will go
through several traffic signals; then after about 1 mile, there will be a traffic signal at 73rd St (but
don't turn yet). You will make a left at the second intersection after 73rd St, which is 72nd St, and then
immediately turn right again into the parking lot of the strip mall. If you miss the turn onto 72nd St,
wave at us as you go past, then make a U-Turn at the light at 70th Street and come back to the store at
7151.
