It is with great sadness that I share the news with everyone in our stamping community that Kathy Olsen, one of our amazing teachers, and great friend, has passed away. Her artistic and generous spirit will be truly missed. We want to share our thoughts and prayers for her family at this time. Her family has asked that in place of flowers, donations can be made to Easterseals, orconsumerwatchdog.org. Two charities that she was very involved with. If you would like to make a donation, we will be gathering them here at the store to send to her husband. Please make any checks payable directly to the organization. Thank you.
- We were able to donate over 150 cards to the military this year, and over 100 cards to two different residential senior facilities here locally. We would like to thank everyone who helped, we had a huge amount of support for this, and it is deeply appreciated, we have amazing customers! We would like to thank Carmen, in particular, she brought in prepared kits (for those who wanted to help but weren’t feeling creative that day) a lot of papers, embellishments, envelopes and handmade cards for this event. Thank you to everyone, we are going to partner with the local nursing homes and do a monthly donation of cards. The seniors greatly appreciated the cards.
- We have a fun month planned – lots of techniques, cards and projects.
- Ann is going to start a “Journal” club, meeting once a month to learn new techniques to create a visual journal. please ask for more details.
End of the year hours: we will be closing at 1pm on Dec 31st, and remain closed until Monday Jan. 4th.
Walt and I would like to thank everyone for your support since we have bought The Stamp Addict. It has been a wonderful 6 months! We love meeting all of you and sharing this wild “addiction” – I feel right at home.
We are currently looking for community “donations” we can make for the upcoming year. Card donations to specific places, items to donate “product” too, ways we could help fund raise for local groups. If you have anything that you beleive would be a good fit, please let us know.
