So excited to be back from CHA, if you aren’t sure what that it, is the annual Craft & Hobby Association “tradeshow”. It was held in phoenix this year. Vendors, designers and teachers from all over the world come to show what they have new, stamps, dies, papers, products like new inks, paints, metal items, wood items, yarns, fabric, brushes, canvas, ribbons and oh so much more!! It is several days of learning, meeting people, making decisions, and yes buying. I have ordered so many new things for you to see! Over the next few weeks, and months, those shipments will start to arrive. It is a bit overwhelming at times,,, as they are hundreds and hundreds of booths to visit and learn from. One thing I learned this year, be prepared to be surprised. I met some great people (see pictures below) some of which i took pictures with. AND.. I have lined up teachers for our store that will really excite and intrigue you. We will be working with several new companies as well. I am excited to share the new ones with you, as well as build on our existing vendor base. We have an exciting list of teachers who will be coming in to teach. Some are still in the works – watch the newsletter for exact info. Here’s a hint: Ken Oliver, Dyan Reaveley, Eileen Hull, Judikins, Mark Gould, Lynell Harlow and a few more…
To start with, Stampendous has Laurel Birch, we have already gotten in 3 orders from them, that is selling so well that I just placed an other order with them. I was able to chat with Fran to see how she made some of the samples, techniques she used, and how she has developed her new pop up die set. I will have samples in the store soon, and will have some of these in upcoming classes here at the store. We have already gotten in 2 orders from Memory Box and Poppystamps… I will be placing another order soon, come in and check out both of these companies catalogs. As you know, we love Hero Arts layering stamps, I have some samples that will go up by the end of the weekend, and their catalog is also at the store for you to take a look at. Lawn Fawn, Avery Elle, Ranger, Stampers Anonymous, The Crafters Workshop, paperArtsy, Dare2BArtsy, Clearsnaps, Blue Moose (can you say yummy fudge!) Elizabeth Craft, Tonic, MISTI, Sizzix PhotoPlay & Authentique papers, and can we just add Graphic 45.
So, yea… I ordered some fantastic things and we are so excited to share them with you! So, lets talk about the new MISTI tools. MISTI has created a kit of tools that you will want – these will make your MISTI even more user friendly. and… since I bet you are hearing rumors of Tim Holtz releasing a stamping tool – yes, it is pretty amazing itself! I have ordered these, we are putting people on a list now. They do not start shipping until mid to late March. The demo of this new product was VERY impressive.
So, you can see I had a very busy 6 days, taking classes and learning and yes shopping. I am glad to be back and sharing all of this excitement with you.
Have a blessed week, enjoy the sun. I hear I missed a very heavy rainstorm, I hope you were all safe and dry.
